June 2019 - Patty's 60th Birthday
Edith and I travelled to Grand Forks to attend my sister Patty's 60th Birthday on June 15th. The party was on Sunday the 16th at their house in Grand Forks. On the morning of the party, we visited Patty's son Jessie and his partner Courtney at their property in Grand Forks. The Love Shack - this is where Jessie and Courtney are living while their house is being built. Their old house was destroyed by a massive flood that hit Grand Forks in 2018. They are raising pigs, which have more living room than they do. This is the river that flooded last year. There are two rivers that flow through the area, the Granby and the Kettle. At this point, both rivers have joined and it is called the Kettle River. Here's Jessie taking a quick swim in the river. Some of Patty's grandchildren live in Grand Forks - Jade's boys Alexi and Dallas. Jody's daughter Ivy and son Roman live in Port Moody. This is Ivy, she's quite the young girl for a 3 year old....
